A "Whopping" 38%

The California Association of Realtors released April numbers today. From the Sacramento Business Journal:

Sales of existing homes in Sacramento dropped 14.2 percent in April and are down a whopping 38 percent from a year ago, according to a report released Thursday. The median price of an existing home in the capital fell less than half a percentage point to $374,360, which is still 1.2 percent higher than it was a year ago, according to the California Association of Realtors report.
From the Central Valley Business Times:
The Central Valley's media home price in April was $350,760, about $200 less than in March. However, it was up from $333,780 a year earlier. But despite the lack of a month-to-month price increase, Central Valley home sales were down 12.1 percent from March and down 33.4 percent from a year earlier.
