Hey Lander-

Thanks for linking to me BTW; now that this thing is getting interesting, it's more important than ever to link up so the buying public can get informed on the bubble and make solid, rational choices.

I've been doing some research on Sacramento flippers, and I've been looking for a way to add new home resells to my statistics. Interestingly, I've run into a few roadblocks with those who possess this data. Sacramento Builders' Exchange has refused to tell me where they get their data, even though they publish a weekly Notice of Completion Report. Do you know of any reliable sources of this data?

It's all mined from tghe County Recoder's Office.

Sorry, "Recorders"

Is the data online? Do you have a link?

Max-
I'm not sure where to find this data. Awhile back, I rummaged around Sacramento County's website, but didn't find anything useful. Perhaps I didn't look hard enough. I'll keep my eyes open.

It's available by paid subscription from the County Recorder.

How much does it cost? Do you know anyone with a subscription?

Gee, why would a public agency charge money for public data?

Or you can go there and spend the rest of your natural life mining it yourself for free :-)

Thanks. I'll pursue the County Recorder angle, and see what I can find out. Maybe they don't charge too much...

I have no problem with anonymous posting, as long as the comment policy is followed. A screen name would be nice, though.
