Gwynster, You bring it on, so you can't beg off now. Stand up and take it.
I like Sippn too. He is always thought provoking and keeps the rest of us honest. In fact most of the bloggers here all have good points to make. But I limited my votes to the top 4.
Ok, now I don't feel so odd for immediately thinking "Sippn". It's helpful to hear an intelligent and well-reasoned view that happens to be from a different part of the field.
I like the idea of Sippin but damn, that'll be a huge bar bill I'd be toting around each month >; )
I should have voted for AgentBubble since he has way better info sources then me and I can't get enough of his graphs. Especially the ones that show price/sqft going down. Data like that will make break into song like a cheap musical.
Bakersfield: Your "crispy" persona is getting to be too big of a liability. You can try contacting Jim Wasserman at the Bee. His contact info is posted at the bottom of his articles.
Nope, just a really big dose of pissed off. As I've always maintained, I'm a sweetheart if you need your kids picked up from soccer, to borrow my jimmy choo slingbacks, need cookies for bakesale, or you need an opinion on some wacked-out IRB policy.
But mess with ability to nest, you WILL be pulling back bloody stumps.
I won't be able to stand it if Sippin co-blogs this, I get enough BS off of CNN. I would just rent until 2012 and not look at this site again. Sippin reminds me of that ever optimistic college prof who was too blind to read the writing on the wall, and I'm not up for another college class. Althoug, I'd like to see Sippin debate that economist in the Humbolt State video, but it wouldn't be a fair fight.
This will be a different type of site if Gwynster co-blogs. At one time she advocated deleting comments from posters she disagreed with - posters she called housing bulls.
I am amazed that I have received 15 votes. I guess there are several readers that really like my stuff, I know realtors do not, but then again I really don't hold a realtors opinion or mortgage brokers opinion at too high of a level. That being said there are honest realtors out there and I think after all the pain that is coming they will still be there.
NorcalJeff - I hear you, just like my 16 year old, la la la, ...
not really!
I would have a tough time debating Thornburg as he studies and debates his points all day every day for the past 20 years.
Damm pesky day job.
Did you notice what the economist said? ... didn't know if prices were going down, then back up.... or just flat. Thanks for the opinion! Guess we're doomed to asking a Realtor. He thought prices in 2012 would be what they were today (as of Nov 2006).
hmmmmm
Optimistic? yes, I have kids. Dr Brightside! Not. Cynic? try this
Talking to a friend from Whole Foods.
Q: How many people hop in their Pryus to drive 30 miles to the nearest Whole Foods Market (built in the wealthy zip code) in order to purchase overpriced organic out of season Aspergus shipped 12,000 miles in from South America. Lots! Save the world!

I would vote for Buying Time, although I'm not voting because I'm trying to wean myself off these blogs.
I got three and I voted for Sittin earlier.
People are loving the Gwynster! A nice dose of smarts and sass combined :)
probably sippin, because if we all
agreed it would be boring. :)
We'll be buying drinks for Gwynster ... congrats!
Off topic - Do you guys know anyone at the Bee? Their wonder-boy from Bakersfield said the following in the newspaper today:
Crisp "I can't make payroll"

The meltdown in the valley continues....

Resistance is futile.
Deep breaths...
See... you don't want me as a co-blogger, although I really don't regret that post.
Lander you could just repost the bloody stumps part. I think that was mostly clean.

Thanks Lander... I didn't save it and I was on a roll >; )

And?......
I'll be the first person to say I'd be a poor choice.
