Changes
As I mentioned in a previous thread, the time has come to scale back the scope of this blog. For over three years, this blog has provided frequent news updates of the Sacramento housing market. Unfortunately, this service can no longer be maintained due to time constraints.
Of course, having poured so much time into this project, it's hard to give it up entirely. I have no plans to shut down the site, and I hope you continue to find the sidebar links useful. I do plan to post from time to time (although my new free time might tempt me otherwise). The story is not over yet. The "landing" is still in progress.
As a consolation prize for those who want to continue following news about the Sacramento housing market (and nearby markets), I've added the Google News RSS gadget above. Please continue to post links to articles you find interesting in the Water Cooler.
I hope you have found this blog to be a useful resource over the past few years.

Glad you're not leaving entirely, Lander. The Sac bubblesphere won't be the same without you! AB and I will try and pick up the slack when we can... (Yes, AB, I'm volunteering you. :)
I have enjoyed reading this blog and appreciate the consistency of your effort over the past three years. You deserve to enjoy some new found free time. Congratulations!
First housingpanic.com and now sacramentolanding. Come on, I will at this rate have to find some real work to do in my work day.
Of course I spend my free time playing with motorcycles.
Cool.
Cow_tipping.
I read this blog most mornings, thanks for all the hard work.
Last one out turn off the lights.

Good luck with your volunteer work. I'll still look forward to any posts you feel like writing :)
Thanks again!
Thanks for all the hard work. :)
Thank you for putting together so much information so succinctly. It is a lot of work and really helpful.
Please know your efforts are appreciated. I have relatives in Sacramento and lived there myself in the eighties. I think of it as a second home and hope to retire there someday. I will have a pan galatic garble blaster in your honour. Tomorrow I will feel like my brains have been smashed out by a lemon wrapped around a large gold brick
"Who could have foreseen (place economic disaster here)?"
Lander, for one.
I can truly say it's better to have to move out 'cause my landlord has been foreclosed on, than because I have.
Great work. Thanks for leaving the site up,too!
Lander,
Thanks so much for your hard work and great info. This blog saved me over 100k by showing me that indeed there was a housing bubble. My hubby and I bought our home in Nov, it's affordable, and we love it. Couldn't have done it without this blog and all who post to it. God bless you all. Oh -- I used to post as Watching The Bubble.
Ok I've been in my own version of denial hoping this would be blogging vacation for you and not a long term lease of absense. Looks like I'm going to have to face reality...(no teasing from the gallery Sippin **winks**)
Lander, I wish you all the very very best with your new endeavors. You've been a treasure; here since the first and you certainly reserve a rest.
I will miss you >; (
ps verification word was folly - seeee the gods are telling you not to leave!
